This is done by conducting teaching and training times with the native pastors and missionaries. Our guiding light is found in Matthew 28 where Jesus instructs His disciples to “go and make disciples of all nations”. Some of our teaching and training time is with one pastor at a time, or a group of local pastors and those interested in evangelism, specifically instructing them in the Word about soulwinning and planting churches in regions where there are no churches. This could be done in tribal villages or even in the towns and cities. Solar-powered gospel audio players are given to them in their language for evangelism and establishing a church. We have found this to be a very effective tool in reaching people who can not read, which is half of the world’s population today. The solar players are then left with a leader in that village or community so that the people can gather each night to hear the Word of God and grow in their faith. Ignite the World Ministries also maintains regular communication and encouragement with the pastors and missionaries with additional teaching, resources, and solar units. This way the “torch of evangelism and discipleship” always stays lit.
