STAFF: Mike Maksimowicz Mike is the Executive Director and Co-Founder with his wife Jennifer of Ignite the World Ministries. He came to the Lord in 1981 in a real "Paul on the road to Damascus" experience with a desire to take the Gospel to the "ends of the earth"(Mark 16:15). Mike spent 23 years in ministry in working with the homeless in Seattle and then in Portland, becoming the Executive Director of Portland Rescue Mission. He also spent many years evangelizing the lost in Downtown Portland. In 2006, Mike joined River of Life Ministries to reach the Muslim world for Christ, primarily in Pakistan where he saw over 500,000 people come to the Lord, hundreds of house churches established, and thousands of miraculous healings. With an urgency to reach the nations, Mike, Jennifer and a team of committed ministry partners, are moving forward to "ignite the world for Jesus" through evangelism, discipleship, compassion relief, and prayer.  Jennifer Maksimowicz Jennifer is co-founder of Ignite the World Ministries with her husband Mike. She is also the Director of Women's and Children's Ministries. Jennifer, like her husband, has a great heart for the lost and hurting of the world(Job 29:12). Jennifer has spent most of her career working with children, as a nanny, a foster parent, a teacher, working for a child advocacy agency, was a director a of children's ministry at a church, and later founded and directed a private, Christian Kindergarten Prep-School and Kindergarten. She ministers to homeless women and children in Downtown Portland and hurting women seeking prayer. Jennifer will be directing our international children's outreaches and discipleship programs for women and children.
